WILD IRIS FARM IS A 35 ACRE, FAMILY OWNED, HORSE FARM LOCATED ON MOUNT DESERT ISLAND IN THE TOWN OF BAR HARBOR, COASTAL MAINE.

HORSE BOARDING

Looking for the perfect place to board your horse?  Wild Iris Farm is a premier, year round, full-service horse boarding facility.  We are conveniently located near the entrance to the Acadia National Park known for its scenic beauty and horse friendly, carriage road system.

CARRIAGE RIDES

Automobiles were prohibited from Mount Desert Island up until 1913.  Until that time, horses and horse drawn carriages and wagons were the standard mode of transportation.  Our carriage rides, be they for a wedding, a special occasion or private ride, offer passengers the opportunity of experiencing the romantic tranquility of those by-gone times.

DRIVING CLINICS

Interested in learning to drive a horse drawn carriage?  We offer introductory clinics to those wishing to become future teamsters or just learn more about this almost extinct horsing "skill".
